About Kellen Winslow
Winslow was drafted by the Cleveland Browns out of the University of Miami with the sixth pick in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft. Cleveland head coach Butch Davis was also the coach who recruited Winslow to the University of Miami before leaving for the NFL prior to ever coaching Winslow in college.
In his third season with the Browns, started in all 16 regular season games at tight end for the first time in his career and led the Browns with 89 receptions for 875 yards (9.8 avg.) and 3 TDs…Tied a franchise record for receptions in a single season with 89 receptions (Ozzie Newsome, 1983, 1984)…Led the team with 89 receptions and ranked second on the club with 875 yards receiving…Led all NFL tight ends with 89 receptions and ranked ninth in the NFL among all receivers…Caught his first career TD in the season opener vs. New Orleans on Sept. 10, on an 18-yard pass from QB Charlie Frye…Finished the season with three 90-yard plus games.
